*TEAM BRIDE*

Kara Hamlin

Kara and I go way back to good ol’ Christs Church youth group. Being a year older than me I always looked up to her and thought she was really cool and super funny (one of the funniest people I know btw), but never dreamed we’d be such good friends some day! In fact, we ended up being roomies for a year while we were both at SPU.

Kara has ben a consistent source of fun and good advice over the years. I am very thankful that she is going to be in my wedding! Her hubby Dusty(featured w/ their adorable dog Gunner) just got a job in his hometown of Boise, Idaho so she will be leaving me soon :( so sad...But, that just means that Gregg and I will have to visit...a lot! :) Consider youselves warned Kara and Dusty!

Erika Stolle

Erika and I met at Lakeside Bible Camp way back in 1999. We have had some crazy times over the years – including many dress-up sessions, late night star gazing/cereal raids at camp, going to BOTH American Disney parks, and much more!! Erika is super fun and always up for an adventure (and a tub of popcorn J)   Erika was my first friend to really get to know Gregg. Once she approved, I knew he was a keeper! She has always been there for me and I am very thankful for her friendship. Love you sister!

Sarah Seitz

Sarah was one of my first and ultimately closest friends at Capernwray Bible School. This being the case, it was super exciting when we discovered we were both going to Seattle Pacific University after Capernwray! And now, 5 years later, we are still great friends and our boys love each other too! Hooray!

I am very thankful that God has kept us close after all these years. Sarah is a fantastic friend, very talented in sewing and cooking (among other things), and has been more than willing to help with all the nitty-gritty wedding stuffs. She has also been giving me lots of good advice on being the best wife ever. Thanks for everything Sar!!

Whitney Eastvold

Whit and I also met at Capernwray and ended up going to SPU together. She is super fun and I have loved getting to know her even better over the past year. Gregg and I LOVE getting together with Whit and her hubby Dan for games, movies, and Whit's delicious cooking! She is also an incredibly generous person (always more than willing to let me crash on her couch:) ) and throws fabulous themed parties :)

Along with all of her amazing qualities, Whitney has also been invaluable in the planning of the wedding thus far. Having planned a wedding herself a very short one year ago, she is full of good ideas and has been willing to help with any and everything. I am so thankful for her creativity and eagerness to be involved. Thanks Whit! I couldn't do it with you!!

Hannah VanWechel

Meet the new Hannah (soon to be Clark) Van Wechel, RN. As you can see it has been a very big year for Han. She graduated from SPU nursing program in June, just became an offical RN, and is getting married to the fabulous Chris Clark in August. (we are very excited to have her very musically talented husband-to-be perform in the wedding!!)

Han and I were roommates for a year while we were both at SPU and I had a blast with her - sharing a bunkbed, talking late into the night, cooking together, and studying at just about every coffee shop in the area :). I have had so much fun co-planning weddings with her this summer and I cannot wait for us to start learning and growing as married ladies together into the future!

Erin Phillips

I met Erin at SPU  where we both started in nursing and ended as nutrition majors. Apparently had a bigger plan for both of us. And thank goodness for that!

As a fellow Dietitian, Erin and I have a ton in common and do lots of fun things together. We both love all things food related, going hiking and camping, we both love to travel and went to Costa Rica together in June, AND we are both interested in doing public health work and studying Spanish in the future. Its not hard to believe that everyone thinks we are sisters, or maybe even twins!

It has truly been a blessing to have someone like Erin in my life who shares so many common interests and goals. I will miss her dearly as she moves back to her hometown of Vacaville, CA and then goes on a grand traveling adventure through Central and South America. But, I know she’ll be back someday…who can resist Seattle?! Or ME for that matter!
